Physician & Hospital Data Sharing

Representatives from UnitedHealthcare’s Cardiac Services and cardiology consultants meet with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and hospitals to review individual practice patterns related to specific cardiac procedures and evaluate costs of care for physicians and hospitals compared with those of other providers in the same area.

The visits are an opportunity to share challenges in care, trends and dialogue about how to improve care provided to UnitedHealthcare members.  During the visit, physicians and/or hospitals are presented with customized data that reflects their practices and provides the basis for the discussion.
