2007 Laboratory Network
UnitedHealthcare continues to build our laboratory network around one leading national provider, along with a growing number of local and regional labs. Our goal is to provide access to comprehensive lab services that gives our members the best combination of affordability, quality, access and choice.

Features
  • Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp) is the only nationwide provider of comprehensive reference lab services with which we have a national agreement.  LabCorp offers more than 4,400 tests within its network of more than 1,300 locations. From routine blood assays to complex genomic testing, LabCorp is a scientific leader.
  • Our network also includes more than 1,500 regional and local labs.  UnitedHealthcare continues to add local and regional providers to our nationwide network.
  • Quest Diagnostics no longer participates in the UnitedHealthcare network.  Lab services provided by Quest are considered out-of-network and may result in increased health care costs. To avoid these costs, we ask that you refer your patients who are UnitedHealthcare members to participating labs. View the protocols below for details.
