Can I use any SFTP client to submit my data?

Yes. Our SFTP server is compatible with OpenSSH (www.openssh.org), the reference implementation of the SFTP protocol.  The OpenSSH client is available at no cost for a variety of operating systems. There are also a number of commercially available SFTP clients available for a nominal fee.
