The Lab Utilization Gateway (LUG) is a data acquisition service provided by UnitedHealthcare to assist its contracting health care professionals with the requirement to transmit test results of insured patients into our data warehouse electronically for analytical purposes.  The service provides a choice of formats and alternative methods of transport.  The step-by-step instructions on this site are designed to provide you with the details required to successfully transfer data electronically to The Lab Utilization Gateway.

UnitedHealthcare has designated Medicity, clinical data integration specialists, as our agents to assist you in managing the data collection process.  Medicity will work with you to establish your upload process and test schedule.  Ideally, as an electronic process, it should require a minimum of human intervention once testing is complete.
